Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, commonly known as Cristiano Ronaldo, is
a Portuguese professional footballer who is widely regarded as one of
the greatest players of all time.
He was born on the island of Madeira, a Portuguese
autonomous territory, on February 5, 1985.
Ronaldo was up in Santo Antonio, a neighborhood on the
outskirts of Funchal, Madeira's city. Jose Dinis Aveiro, his father, was a kit
man at a local football club, and his mother, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro,
was a cook. Ronaldo has three older brothers and sisters.
Ronaldo's love of football began at an early age. He began
playing for a local team called Andorinha when he was only eight years old. His
skill was quickly recognized, and he was signed by the larger team Nacional at
the age of ten.
In 1997, Ronaldo joined the youth
